Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in nursery operations or recent related production/shipping activities with excellent work references
• Solid understanding of nursery scheduling and logistics preferred
• Experience in safe forklift operation
• Strong self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a dynamic work environment

Responsibilities

• Shipping and logistics management for conifer nursery products
• Manage nursery shipping and production schedules with production and horticulture departments
• Manage nursery inventory system and accurate crop counts
• Collaborate with production lead on logistical and production tasks
• Compile production reporting and identify challenges and solutions for the manager
• Ensure product quality and delivery deadlines meet customer goals
• Use inventory management software to track inventory and map facility
• Communicate effectively with team to support informed decisions
• Coordinate with nursery manager on customer requests and preferences
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently
• Work alternate schedules and overtime as production needs dictate
