Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is hiring for seasonal entry-level labor at its conifer nursery in Gazelle Area, California. Responsibilities include packing, sowing, weeding, thinning, transplanting, labeling pallets, and quality checks, with outdoor and greenhouse environments and variable weather.

Qualifications

• 1-year recent related work experience
• Excellent verifiable work references with attendance record
• Experience in agriculture, landscaping, or nursery operations helpful
• Demonstrated ability to be highly productive in repetitious work

Responsibilities

• General conifer nursery production activities such as packing, sowing, weeding, thinning, and transplanting
• Grade and cull seedlings based on specs from customer
• Palletize boxes, properly label, and band pallets for storage/shipment
• Efficiently perform quality control of sown conifer seeds
• Consistently meet both production standards and pace
• Perform general nursery cleanup duties daily
