Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our fast-paced team in Olive Branch, MS. You will oversee daily shipping operations, coordinate production activities, and ensure quality and productivity targets are met.

You will lead hourly staff, participate in meetings, and maintain 5S housekeeping while driving continuous improvement in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Windows NT, Word, Excel and email.
• Capable of working effectively in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Able to reach and bend; comfortable with manual handling.
• Able to operate hand-truck, pallet jack and forklift.

Responsibilities

• Participate in shift start-up meetings and communicate priorities.
• Direct hourly staff and coordinate daily production activities.
• Develop methods to improve productivity and quality.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and monitor KPI trends.
• Prepare daily productivity reports and address issues proactively.
• Train and mentor hourly employees to support goals.

Responsibilities

• Participating in shift start-up meetings with your department team
• Communicate current priorities and targets, any ongoing issues, process updates, expectations, quality goals and any additional relevant information pertaining to your department
• Attend daily recap production/shipping meeting when Supervisor is not present
• Direct hourly employees and assigns and coordinates daily production activities
• Determines and may develop methods and procedures to improve productivity and quality
• Always Utilize efficient and effective Flow process of WIP
• Prepare daily productivity reports.
• Evaluate issues and potential problems proactively in a timely manner
• Ensure 5S housekeeping duties are assigned and completed daily
• Maintain open communication with hourly reports regarding goals and accomplishments
• Monitor department KPI’s for results and trends
• Develop contingencies and short-term processes as needed
• Identify bottlenecks that affect area goals or standards
• Develop hourly employees through training, coaching and mentoring

Qualifications

• Proficient in Windows NT, Microsoft Word, Excel and email
• Must be able to effectively work within a team environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - by monitoring Email and reply to an update status of Work Orders, Sale Order, and Material Transfer Order
• May lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Be able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to reach and bend
• Ability to use hand-truck, pallet jack and operate a forklift
