Shipping Lead

Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced Shipping Leader to oversee daily shipping operations and develop a high-performing team. This role partners with Fabrication Leads to ensure loose and fabricated parts ship accurately and on time. The Shipping Leader is also responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and developing shipping employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping operations and coordinate with Fabrication Leads to support on-time delivery.
• Develop schedules, assign and monitor work, and ensure the team has the necessary resources.
• Establish productivity standards, track performance, and resolve operational issues.
• Recommend and implement procedures that improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Interview, select, onboard, and train new employees.
• Coach, mentor, evaluate, and discipline employees in a positive and professional manner.
• Plan and monitor job results while enforcing company systems, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with the Shift Finishing Supervisor to address employee concerns.
• Maintain a safe and healthy workplace by enforcing company policies and complying with applicable regulations.
• Promote teamwork, positive communication, and a supportive work environment.
• Communicate company goals and lead the shipping team by example.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Five years of shipping experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills.
• Knowledge of shipping software and common office equipment, including scanners and printers.
• Ability to monitor shipments and understand key performance indicators.
• Familiarity with import and export regulations.
• Ability to use computers, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to become forklift certified.

Salary Range: $27-$32.50 an hour
