Farmer Focus is seeking a Shipping Lead for the Acorn Facility in Harrisonburg, VA. This 3rd shift, full-time role supports the Shipping Supervisor and directs team members to maintain productive, compliant shipping operations in a fast-paced plant environment.

The position emphasizes food safety compliance, accurate paperwork, and readiness to respond to USDA inspectors, with opportunities to train staff and improve processes.

• Ability to train team members, monitor performance, and support department standards.
• New team members must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening post-offer and prior to the start of their employment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. Immigration Reform and Control Act verification must be documented by the end of day three.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor with getting the Shipping Department started daily and on time.
• Fill in as needed at any position to ensure a consistent product flow.
• Assist the Supervisor with production paperwork as needed.
• Respond to USDA inspectors and their concerns in a timely and correct manner.
• Help train new team members and monitor their performance.
• Perform production checks to ensure the department is performing to standards.
• Assist other supervisors and managers with issues in other departments in the plant.
• Maintain compliance with food safety programs, safety expectations, and Farmer Focus policies.
• Perform other job duties as needed.
