Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Shipping Lead for its Acorn Facility on-site. You will support the Shipping Supervisor, lead team members, ensure procedures and safety standards, and help maintain customer specifications in a fast-paced production environment.

The role involves daily production coordination, training new staff, handling paperwork, and responding to USDA inspections while upholding Farmer Focus policies and CARES values.

Role Overview / Purpose and Scope

The Shipping Lead is primarily responsible for supporting the Shipping Supervisor in ensuring department procedures are followed while achieving the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner possible and maintaining customer specifications. This role helps direct and lead team members, supports compliance with food safety programs and Farmer Focus policies, and assists with team member performance, development, safety, and daily work schedules.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

This role is performed on-site in a production and shipping environment. The position requires working on the plant floor, following all safety, food safety, and PPE requirements, and supporting production flow in a fast-paced setting. Team members must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, work in varying temperatures and noise levels, and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds. Schedule flexibility may be required based on production and shipping needs. This position does not have an application deadline. Farmer Focus will recruit until the role is filled.
