Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in the United States is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to support operations on the 3rd shift (11 PM–7 AM). You will safely operate forklift equipment in a high-volume manufacturing facility and work as part of a team, with overtime, weekends and holidays as required.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or military technical training, strong safety and attendance records, basic math skills, and the ability to read a tape measure and load tags.

Qualifications

• Must have Forklift Operator experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
• 2 years of operational experience in the last 5 years.
• Must possess strong computer skills and apply use of technology in the workplace.
• Comply with all safety regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Possess excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Read and understand order spec sheet and load tags.
• High school diploma or Military Technical Training.

Primary job duties will include but not limited to safely performing a wide range of tasks supporting operations in a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safe, demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a high degree of attention to detail! Candidates must be customer service oriented and must be able to work in an environment as a strong team member.

Applicants MUST HAVE: Ability to work available positions on 3rd Shift (11p-7a) with frequent overtime up to 4 hours daily. Strong attendance and safety records and be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime as required.

The starting rate is $25.67 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 5 days of paid vacation will be granted after 1 year of service, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
