Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Department Supervisor / Forklift Operator to oversee daily shipping activities and coordinate forklift crews to meet customer delivery expectations.

You will implement and train on policies, manage loading of trailers, prepare bills of lading, and collaborate with Customer Service to ensure accurate, timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Able to speak, read, comprehend and write legibly in English.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Qualified Shipping Forklift Operator.
• One year experience as a Forklift Operator preferred.
• Supervisory experience as a proven manager/leader preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Shipping Department activities using the most cost effective methods possible while meeting customer delivery expectations.

• Conduct shift overlap meetings with oncoming shift Supervisor to minimize errors.

• Coordinate and communicate with Customer Service concerning delivery of product to customers.
• Accurately prepare bills of lading.
• Review forklift inspection sheets daily and prepare maintenance work orders for needed repairs.
• Ensure accurate stock locations in the shipping warehouse.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
