Pratt Industries in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Forklift Operator for the 3rd shift. You will receive product from the main banding line, load trailers or move inventory, and transfer materials between inventory and machines.

The role requires a valid forklift license, safe operation, and accurate scanning of load tags. Candidates should be able to follow production schedules and complete paperwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work area.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
• Be vigilant to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Use scanners and keep inventories accurate.
• Move product from inventory to machines and to the next operation.
• Load product into trailers or move to inventory as required.
• Complete all required paperwork for shipments and receiving.
• Handle product to minimize damage.

Position

Position: Forklift Operator

Shift: 3rd

Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Type: Full Time, Hourly

Job Description

• Receives product off the main banding line.


• Checks load tags and either loads the product into the specified trailer(s), or moves product into inventory.


• Moves product from inventory to machines.


• Completes the required paper work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow and help to ensure that fellow workers adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.


• Conduct daily inspections of equipment.


• Be constantly vigilant and maintain a safe & clean work area.


• Utilize scanners and ensure inventories are kept accurate.


• Ensure that all orders produced are moved to the next operation.


• Handle product to minimize damage


• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed powered industrial truck operator


• Must be able to operate a lift truck safely with minimal product damage


• Must be able to accurately scan load tags and maintain accurate inventories


• Must be able to read and follow production schedules

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred, not required.


• Forklift license required.

Physical Demands

• The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.

• The employee is occasionally required to sit.


• Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
