Job summary

Pratt Industries in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to oversee the Shipping Department, ensuring cost-effective methods and on-time customer deliveries.

You will implement policies, train staff, coordinate forklift operations, schedule deliveries, and work with Customer Service to ensure accurate bills of lading. A high school diploma, English proficiency, and forklift certification are required; supervisory experience is preferred and benefits begin within the first months.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Able to speak, read, comprehend and write legibly in English.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Qualified Shipping Forklift Operator.
• One year experience as a Forklift Operator preferred.
• Supervisory experience as a proven manager/leader preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Shipping Department activities using cost effective methods while meeting customer delivery expectations.

• Additional duties as assigned by management.
