Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to oversee the Shipping Department, ensuring cost-effective methods while meeting customer delivery expectations. You will coordinate forklift operators, schedule deliveries, and work closely with Customer Service to ensure accurate product shipments.

Key responsibilities include maintaining company policies, providing training, conducting shift overlap meetings, and preparing bills of lading.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Able to speak, read, comprehend and write legibly in English.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Qualified Shipping Forklift Operator.
• One year experience as a Forklift Operator preferred.
• Supervisory experience as a proven manager/leader preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Shipping Department activities using the most cost effective methods possible while meeting customer delivery expectations.

• Review forklift inspection sheets daily and prepare maintenance work orders for needed repairs.
• Ensure accurate stock locations in the shipping warehouse.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
