Premier Packaging is a forward-thinking packaging provider seeking a Shipping Lead to support daily shipping operations in Thomson, GA. You will back up the Shipping Supervisor, review load schedules, and coordinate carrier activity to ensure efficient fleet utilization.

The role involves overseeing inter-warehouse transfers and ensuring accurate documentation. Ideal candidates have 1-3 years of forklift operator experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, familiarity with different

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience as forklift operator in manufacturing/warehouse
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to forklift operation
• Experience with different forklift types (sit-down/stand-up/clamp) is a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Back up for Shipping Supervisor when needed
• Review daily load schedule for completeness and efficiency
• Coordinate carrier coordination for LTL and full load farm outs
• Oversee inter-warehouse transfer of raw materials, WIP and finished goods
• Ensure accurate paperwork and bills of lading

Almost 30 years in business and we are just getting started.Shift:Day - DayTime - TimeExpected Hours:40 HoursOvertime When NeededPay Frequency:Bi-WeeklyEssential Functions:Back up for Shipping Supervisor when neededReceives the daily load schedule lineup from the scheduler and reviews for completeness, load arrangement, scheduled stops, dock times, resource availability, and efficient asset utilization.The Shipping Lead approves the compatibility between the schedule provided and the fleet’s current posture.The Shipping Lead has individual responsibility for the carrier coordination of both LTL and full load farm outs.
