Title:Shipping Clerk / Logistics Coordinator
Location: Carson, CA
Work Hour: 8-5
Salary: Approximately $50,000 per year
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping Clerk / Logistics Coordinator to support daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and export operations.
This position will be responsible for a variety of logistics-related tasks, including preparing shipping documents, coordinating with freight forwarders, managing inventory, and working closely with warehouse and internal departments to ensure smooth and timely shipments.
Training will be provided, and candidates with limited logistics experience are welcome to apply if they are eager to learn and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
As you become familiar with the operation, you will have the opportunity to take greater ownership of the shipping and logistics process.
Responsibilities
- Process receiving transactions based on packing slips
- Support receiving and inventory management
- Prepare shipping invoices and other shipping-related documents
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments with freight forwarders
- Obtain necessary shipping and export documents from freight forwarders and provide them to international customers
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and inspectors to ensure shipments are processed accurately and on schedule
- Work with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Sales teams to resolve discrepancies related to products or documentation
- Support import/export and general logistics operations
- Perform product inspection tasks as needed
- Maintain, scan, and file shipping and logistics documents
- Communicate with external vendors and service providers related to shipping operations
- Stay informed of relevant industry and regulatory updates
- Participate in seminars and training programs as needed
- Obtain job-related certifications when required
- Follow the company's AS9120 Quality Management System (QMS) procedures
- Provide general support to the Logistics Department and other departments as needed
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent education and/or work experience
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, import/export, or a related field is preferred, but not required
- Ability to read and understand basic business documents such as purchase orders, packing slips, and supplier documents
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Comfortable learning company software and internal systems
- Ability to write routine business emails, reports, and correspondence
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to adapt to changes in procedures, regulations, and work instructions
- Willingness to learn and continuously improve work performance
- Ability to work independently while also supporting team members and other departments
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative when appropriate
Training
Training will be provided by supervisors and management during the initial 3-month probationary period.
Additional training will also be provided throughout the year as needed to ensure employees are familiar with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and job responsibilities.
Physical Requirements

- Ability to move between departments and attend meetings as needed
- Ability to perform general office duties including typing, filing, scanning, and telephone communication
- Ability to lift, push, or pull items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs when needed
