Job summary

Milgard Windows & Doors (A MITER Brands Company) in Temecula, CA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support shipping operations in a fast-paced environment. The role runs Monday–Friday with a 6:00 AM start and involves lifting up to 100 pounds, reading labels, and using a handheld scanner.

You will follow SOPs, MPS guidelines, and Milgard Philosophy, while maintaining safety and teamwork to ensure loads are correctly prepared for delivery.

• Glass handling knowledge a plus.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures, MPS, and Philosophy.

• Ensure loads are complete per documentation and that they are on the correct delivery vehicle in the proper order.

• Secure loads in proper fashion to minimize damage and breakage.

• Create and execute MPS objectives; meet MPS commitments and work within the guidelines of MPS.

• Reflect Milgard business values and the Milgard Philosophy in all business interactions.

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job.

• Proper usage of personal protective equipment.

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION:

• None

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Previous experience in warehouse environment, particularly window manufacturing preferred
• Glass handling and/or glass knowledge a plus.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:

• None

ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:

• Sufficient literacy to read and understand window labels and route codes

• Ability to use hand held scanning unit

• Compute basic math problems to include fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.

• Ability to count to 500.

• Good hand eye coordination and the ability to discern colors.

• Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds

• Ability to work in, and promote a team environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work performed in a warehouse type facility with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions.
• Hearing protection and safety glasses required, additional safety equipment provided based on specific job.
• Work surfaces are primarily concrete with anti-fatigue mats provided where feasible. Personnel will stand while performing their respective job functions, for up to 12 hours a day.
