Job summary

FixMyToys is the ecommerce division of Ball Equipment, a Michigan business located in Romeo. The Shipping Supervisor leads verification, packing, shipping, and carrier loading for orders placed before cutoffs, balancing protection with cost.

The role involves hands-on packing and forklift operation, coaching staff, coordinating with RPPC, and ensuring shipments are loaded correctly and on time. This is a full-time on-site position based in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is essential for verifying orders and packaging.
• Ability to read and follow order instructions and warehouse procedures.
• Strong problem solving skills to resolve discrepancies and optimize packing.
• Basic math to count items and verify quantities.
• Fundamental computer skills to use warehouse software and scanners.
• Clear communication to train staff and coordinate workflow.
• Safety awareness to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify picked products against orders before packing; resolve discrepancies.
• Use smallest suitable packaging to protect contents and reduce waste.
• Train employees in consistent packing methods to avoid damage.
• Assign work, monitor orders, and coordinate with RPPC on supply and exceptions.
• Provide backup for Large Pack & Dock, including oversized packaging and forklift operation.
• Operate forklifts/hi-los as needed for oversized shipments and loading.
• Coordinate promotional insert instructions with Marketing and supervise packing work.
