Optimus Steel in Texas is seeking a Warehouse/Shipping Operator responsible for operating diesel or propane forklifts, dock cranes, overhead cranes, and a coil loader to transfer, warehouse, and ship finished products from the rolling mill.

You will tally inbound/outbound loads, ensure accuracy on shipping docs, perform cycle counts, and maintain yard traffic flow in the coil storage area.

Qualifikationen

• Experience operating material handling equipment in a manufacturing or shipping environment.
• Ability to inspect and report discrepancies in equipment at shift start.
• Familiarity with loading/dispatch documentation and inventory control.

Aufgaben

• Inspects forklifts, coil loaders at the beginning of each shift, services as necessary and reports all discrepancies.
• Operates forklift, dock cranes, overhead crane to perform several tasks.
• Maintain traffic flow in the coil storage yard, billing all outbound products by truck, rail and barge.
• Check each outbound truck load for accuracy. Ensure that all customer requirements have been met as requested on the shipping documentation.
• Accurately tally and tag all inbound/outbound billets via railcar or trucks.
• Perform cycle counts according to the posted schedule.
