Job summary

Pure Flavor Farms LP is seeking a Shipping Forklift Operator to support the supply chain by unloading trucks, staging and moving product in a refrigerated warehouse at our Edinburg, Texas facility. The role requires safe operation of forklift equipment, attention to inventory accuracy, and strict adherence to GMPs, food safety, and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two (2) years forklift experience required; Forklift Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift or other hand truck activities, to stage, count, sort, wrap finished product and move shipments of product and packaging material.
• Examine incoming shipment contents and compare with records to verify accuracy and quality of shipment; place shipment to designated location; rotate and organize inventory per company procedures, using FIFO method.
• Inspect and load outbound shipments; check contents and compare with records to verify accuracy and quality of shipment, place shipment on designated truck for delivery to customer.
• Communicate frequently with Warehouse Supervisor, report quality issues, damage, shortages of product or packaging
• Maintain a clean work area; remove empty and damage pallets, wood, and plastic
• Daily inspection of assigned forklift or other material handling equipment; report damages or mechanical issues to personnel with authority
• Comply with SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, Health and Safety, and company policies and procedures; ensure standards consistently meet expectations
• Other core expectations as defined by the company.
