Job summary

Lincoln Premium Poultry is seeking a forklift operator to safely load and unload trucks, move materials, and support shipping operations. You will stack pallets, label items, maintain stock counts, and ensure accurate shipping documentation on a fast-paced production floor.

You must maintain forklift certification, comply with HACCP/SSOPs/GMPs, and work in a refrigerated environment. The role requires teamwork, the ability to follow directions, and flexible participation in training and crew

Qualifications

  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Must pass required physical including lifting weight.
  • Able to work in refrigerated environment (35–50°F).
  • Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift to load/unload trucks and transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Hand stack, palletize, label, and conduct inventory counts as needed.
  • Stage product and inspect shipping tags and documents for accuracy.
  • Maintain current forklift certification.
  • Clean loading dock areas and pathways.
  • Assist training of co-workers and participate as a team member.
  • Follow HACCP, SSOPs and GMPs and safety policies.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift used to load trucks, supply packaging materials, and transport product to and from the shipping areas.

DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilize a forklift to load and unload trucks used for shipping finished product, as well as handle and transport materials throughout the facility.
  • Hand stack, palletize, label, and conduct inventory counts as needed.
  • Stage product and inspects shipping tags and documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Always maintain a current forklift certification.
  • Perform general cleaning of loading dock areas and associated warehouse and product travel paths.
  • Assist with training of co-workers as needed.
  • Participate as an active team member of production in assigned area.
  • Assist in training of co-workers as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with established food safety programs, including HACCP programs, SSOPs and GMPs.
  • Effectively follow directions of the lead, supervisor, or manager at all times.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Effectively communicate and positively interact with team members in all departments.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment ranging from 35-50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • MUST be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes to the needs of production.
  • MUST be a team player.
  • MUST be able to pass required physical including demonstrating your ability to lift the required weight for each position.
  • MUST be able to stand and/or walk for entire 8-hour shift.
  • MUST wear correct job specific PPE as designated by company policy.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of one year experience operating a sit down or stand up forklift, skid steer, high reach, powered pallet jack, or riding pallet jack is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or production or manufacturing facility is preferred.
