Job summary

Filtration Group is seeking a skilled forklift driver to operate a forklift, move and stack merchandise, and maintain accurate inventory records in a manufacturing/warehouse setting. The role requires safety-conscious behavior, ability to meet shipping deadlines, and coordination with multiple departments to ensure timely delivery of products.

  • Conduct routine safety checks and reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Always follow safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate safety gear and following established safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and locations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, shipping and receiving records and ensuring that all products are handled with care and according to company standards.


Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to move and stack merchandise and materials throughout the facility.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

  • Valid forklift certification.

  • Experience with inventory control or ERP systems.

  • Experience using RF scanners or barcode technology.


Physical/Mental Demands:


Physical



  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to X pounds (use your company's actual lifting requirement).

  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.

  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.


Mental


This position requires attention to detail, situational awareness, and sound decision-making to safely transport materials and support production operations. The employee must be able to prioritize tasks, follow work instructions, communicate effectively with team members, and maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Working Environment:


This position is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The employee is regularly exposed to moving forklifts, machinery, production equipment, and moderate industrial noise. The role requires frequent interaction with production, shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel and adherence to all company safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
