Job summary

Timken Distribution Center in Duncan, SC is seeking a 2nd Shift Shipping Forklift Operator. Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm, with overtime as required. A successful warehouse employee values safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

You will operate powered industrial equipment (sit-down/stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jack, hand crane), pick and place products, scan and verify orders, and prepare shipments while ensuring safe, on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum 18 years old and able to meet physical requirements.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate powered industrial equipment for material handling.
Place products for customer orders and into specified locations.
Use handheld scanner to move orders and verify details.
Prepare packaged orders for palletization and shipping.
Secure freight in containers and pallets for transport.
Follow safety protocols to keep trailers securely in place.

**Position Summary: **

Timken Distribution Center is currently seeking a 2nd Shift ShippingForklift Operator for its facility located in Duncan, SC. Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm, plus overtime as required. A successful warehouse employee values safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

Place productfor customer orders and into specified locations.
Use handheld scanner to systematically move orders.
Verify the order specifications such as part number, weight,quantity and label placement.
Prepare packaged order for palletization and shipping.
Secure freight in containers using airbags, pallets and boards for blocking and bracing.
Secure pallets for transport.
Follow safety protocol to ensure trailers are securely in place prior to loading.

18 years of age.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to complete production forms. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and plant leadership.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch and use hands/arms. The employee is regularly required to talk, hear at conversational level. The employee must regularly lift/move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 55 pounds. Moving/lifting greater than 55 pounds requires assistance from another employee or a lifting device/hoist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Required Personal Protective Equipment:

Employee is required to wear steel-toed shoes at all times while on the plant floor.
