Job summary

Timken in Thorofare, NJ is hiring for a Warehouse Entry position. The role involves loading, unloading, packing, and moving materials within a union warehouse. You will liaise with Shipping/Receiving and other departments, follow work instructions, and help maintain safety and quality standards.

Two shifts are available: 1st shift 9:30am–5:40pm and 2nd shift 3:30pm–11:40pm with overtime as needed. Base hourly rate starts at $21.09 plus a $1.23 shift differential for 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 35 pound lifting limit.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Preferred experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Preferred experience with SAP, UPS WorldShip and FedEx portals.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials to storage locations within the warehouse and production using a material handling cart, forklift, pallet jack and/or WAV.
• Packing, picking and preparing orders with proper paperwork for shipments.
• Liaison between Shipping/Receiving and other departments pertaining to material movement.
• Transport materials between the warehouse and assembly location.
• Read and understand work instructions including shipping and invoicing processes.
• Follow established work practices to ensure quality while following business procedures.
• Other duties may include cycle counting, maintaining FIFO, monitoring shop supplies, and general housekeeping.
• Notifies management of unsafe working conditions via safety opportunity card.

Warehouse workers perform an array of functions including but not limited to picking, cycle counting, packaging, shipping for internal and external customers, and overseeing stock in the warehouse.

Shifts Available:

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5:40pm (overtime required based on business need)

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 11:40pm (overtime required based on business need)

• Packing, picking and preparing orders to include the proper paperwork for shipments
• Liaison between Shipping/Receiving and other departments pertaining to material movement
• Transport materials between the warehouse and assembly location
• Ability toread and understand work instructions including but not limited to shipping and invoicing processes
• Follows established work practices and procedures to ensure quality while following applicable business management procedures
• Other duties may include cycle counting, maintaining FIFO, monitoring shop supplies, and general housekeeping
• Notifies management of unsafe working conditions or practices in and out of assigned work area by entering a safety opportunity card
