Job summary

SPX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Coordinator to manage the movement of materials and finished products, ensuring on-time shipments and accurate records.

You will work with Materials Planning, Warehouse, Project Management, and Logistics to meet customer and business requirements. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, strong organizational skills, and effective communication across multiple teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in distribution, logistics, shipping, warehousing, or related field.
• Experience coordinating shipments, carriers, materials, or orders in manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accurate shipping documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication across stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving to resolve shipment or distribution issues.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP/shipping systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment planning and execution.
• Place purchase orders in SAP and coordinate shipping/receiving activities.
• Coordinate outbound shipments with multiple teams to ensure orders are ready and shipped per requirements.
• Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and monitor status.
• Ensure packaging, documentation, and system entries are completed accurately prior to shipment.
• Identify and resolve shipping issues to minimize delays.
• Monitor distribution performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain shipping records in SAP and related ERP systems.
• Serve as primary contact for carriers and internal stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with carriers and suppliers to ensure reliable transport.
• Coordinate expedited shipments balancing customer needs, availability, and cost.
