Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to organize daily dispatch, optimize load utilization, and coordinate with 3rd party logistics for on-time delivery. You will ensure safety and efficiency in warehouse shipping operations while supporting production with timely load planning.

The role requires a high school diploma, shipping/receiving experience, and strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills to drive cost savings and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prefer experience in Shipping and Receiving in a warehouse.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coach and develop talent.
• Strong decision-making and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch to ensure timely, cost-effective shipments.
• Maximize MSF per trailer to improve asset utilization and reduce costs.
• Coordinate material staging, shipments, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
• Maintain knowledge of DOT regulations to create efficient shipping schedules.
• Collaborate with production to prioritize customer requests and ensure load accuracy.
• Ensure shipping safety and proper use of material handling equipment.
• Coordinate with 3rd party logistics to arrange dock times for inventory receipt.
