Inotiv is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join our team in a role focused on accurate order fulfillment and timely product delivery. You will maintain inventory, process orders, and coordinate shipping documentation with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with production, Customer Service, and Quality Assurance.

  • Prepare and review pick lists, labels, and docs for accuracy.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules with barrier management.
  • Communicate shipping needs and issues to relevant teams.
  • Participate in production meetings to support goals.
  • Collaborate across barriers to address inventory needs and issues.
  • Assist with deviations investigations in the order fulfillment process.
  • Train backups for day-to-day shipping and inventory tasks.
  • Create user guides to support accurate fulfillment.

Monday - Friday; day hours

We are seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join our dynamic team! This position will focus on quality product delivery to our customers. The person in this role will need to feel passionate and excel at organization, and support and maintain a clean, safe and compliant working environment. We are seeking someone that is hardworking, shows attention to detail, takes initiative, has a teamwork mentality and positive attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to IACUC and AAALAC Guides.

  • Maintain accurate inventory by performing inventory transactions, weekly cycle counts, and maintaining records of the perpetual barrier animal inventory using the inventory control system. Process all customer orders and associated documentation, working with Customer Service Department and/or production personnel as directed to ensure all orders are accurately and timely processed.

  • Prepare order documentation at the beginning of the process including pick lists and box labels or other documents as required and review them again for accuracy prior to shipping the order.

  • Allocate, prioritize and distribute orders within the production area.

  • Prepare and maintain and share shipping schedules. Coordinate this activity with the barrier management.

  • Communicate shipping needs, issues and concerns to barrier management.

  • Participate in weekly Production Meetings, with a focus on both meeting and level-setting production goals.

  • Communicate between barriers to support inventory requirements and to troubleshoot order fill issues.

  • With the barrier team, regularly review best offers and lost orders to develop action plan to address any issues or trends.

  • Participate in the investigation and root cause analysis of deviations related to the order fulfillment process in the complaint management system.

  • Train a backup team member(s) to support day-to-day shipping and inventory requirements to cover in your absence.

  • Create user guides and/or reference documents as needed to support accurate order fulfillment.

  • Coordinate area Health Monitoring/ Sentinel Schedule and Genetic Testing program with Technical Service Department and Geneticist, to include the completion of necessary paperwork and the submission of such to laboratory.

  • Assist with sample collection as directed.

  • Answer order inquiries, requests for animals not on Inventory.

  • Ability to process customer orders.

  • Emailing: Answering Inquiries from Inventory Control.

  • JDE: Entering Inventories and Wean to stock.

  • JDE: Removing Animals from Inventory using Inventory Daily Loss Sheet.

  • JDE: Daily Checking of Timed Pregnant Mated Orders.

  • JDE: Entering Timed Pregnant Day 0's onto Inventory Available.

  • JDE: Entering Prewean Sales.

  • JDE: Entering Mother with Litter Sales.

  • Ability to print and distribute Inventory worksheets, route reports and Inventory Daily Loss sheets.

  • When required participate in operational process improvement changes using Lean/6 Sigma techniques and promote a continuous improvement environment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

This position requires that the Shipping Coordinator be able to:

  • Lift up to 50lbs on occasion.

  • Stand/walk on concrete for at least 2 hours at a time.

  • Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift.

  • English communication - reading, writing and oral.

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
