Job summary

Twist Bioscience Corp is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our growing Fulfillment team in California. You will handle order fulfillment, pick/pack, shipping documentation, and coordination with Customer Support, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure timely, accurate shipments.

You will operate MES, perform barcode scanning, prepare domestic and international shipments, and maintain shipping logs while resolving delays.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year experience with shipping systems (FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL Easy Ship)
• 0–1 year experience with Google Docs/Sheets and MS Office
• 0–1 year experience with SAP or related MRP/ERP systems
• 0–1 year experience with domestic and international shipping requirements
• 0–1 year experience in ISO, GMP, Lean Manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

• Pick and pull cold chain products per order and MES locations
• Scan barcodes/QR codes for shipping

Job description

Twist Bioscience is looking for an individual that is highly motivated, collaborative, takes pride in their work, and great attention to detail. This position will play a critical role in forming a best in class Shipping/Order Fulfillment team. This position will require interactions with Customer Support, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Warehouse Receiving teams to enhance internal and external customer satisfaction while ensuring all orders are processed and shipped in a timely and accurate manner. The Shipping Coordinator will perform all administrative and physical requirements of this position.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Pick & Pull cold chain, life sciences products as listed by an order picklist and product inventory location generated from the company manufacturing execution system (MES)
• Barcode or QR Code scanning of products for shipping
• General computer data entry such as Automated Export System (AES) filings
• Prepare shipping boxes/cartons with packing material and shipping refrigerants such as cold packs and dry ice
• Create or generate shipping documents for domestic and international shipments
• Verify accuracy and completeness of shipping documents
• Maintain and update shipping logs
• Monitor, record, communicate, and resolve shipping issues or delays
• Perform root cause investigations, corrective actions, and updating of internal processes and workflows as needed via the company trouble ticket system
• Communicate and follow up on shipping status and discrepancies
• Order shipping supplies as needed from outside vendors or from company supply chain team
• Perform tasks in accordance with company guidelines
• Perform tasks in adherence to department’s SOP and customer requirements
• Verify service partner invoices and other documents for accuracy
• Perform other general order fulfillment and shipping duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• 0-1 years experience with FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL Easy Ship, and other transportation online booking systems
• 0-1 years in Google and Microsoft office suites, specifically Google Docs and Google Sheets
• 0-1 years experience and knowledge of SAP or related MRP/ERP systems
• 0-1 years experience and knowledge of domestic and international shipping requirements
• 0-1 years working in an ISO, GMP, and Lean Manufacturing environment

Strongly Prefer:

• Experience with MRP software, ex. (SAP, NetSuite & Oracle)
• Ability to work in an ISO, GMP, LEAN Manufacturing environment and follow the lean manufacturing concepts.
• Training in CAPA, HAZMAT, Chemical Hazards, Forklift, and Safety

The base cash compensation for this California-based role is below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location and may vary from the amount listed above. Compensation may be different in other locations.
