Sonstegard Foods Company is a leading manufacturer and wholesaler of shell eggs along with powdered, liquid and frozen egg products. We operate facilities in five states and sell our products into domestic and international markets. This position will work with the General Manager and Production Supervisors. Primarily responsible for the daily operations on the loading dock. Also, responsible for compliance with all company policies, SQF regulations and local state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Essential Job Duties

• Supervise and train loading dock employees ensuring career progression.
• Communicate with other members of the shipping department to ensure accurate processing of finished product.
• Ensure task training is complete.
• Verify materials loaded or unloaded against BOL or packing slip.
• Direct ingredient and raw material loading and unloading ensuring adequate inventories to meet production requirements.
• Complete and review daily production reports, BOLs, and packing slips.
• Daily forklift inspections to ensure they’re in proper operating order.
• Maintain cleanliness of loading docks and coolers.
• Verify all doors and equipment are operating correctly.
• Comply with all company, SQF regulations local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Read basic orders and packing slips.
• Operate loading and unloading equipment.
• Basic reasoning and thinking skills.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Follow and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and safety requirements.
• Willing to work weekends (Rotating weekend schedule)
• Pay starting between $18-20 an hour depending on experience

• Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.
• Lift 50 – 100 lbs.
• Work damp, cold environments.
• Work in a loud environment requiring ear protection.
