Job summary

Zero-Max is seeking a Shipping Coordinator in Plymouth, MN to verify and record outgoing shipments, prepare items for shipment, and support the shipping department under supervision. The role requires basic education, forklift experience, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities include data entry, packaging, verifying shipment specs, and coordinating with Customer Service and Production to ensure on-time delivery. Competitive benefits and a Monday–Friday day shift are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Six months shipping experience in a manufacturing or similar environment preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems – Epicor preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong math skills for handling shipping paperwork and counts.
• Ability to prioritize tasks with sound judgment.
• Ability to work closely with multiple departments (shipping, production, customer service).

Responsibilities

• Enter shipment data into freight carrier systems for tracking and labeling.
• Retrieve and package inventory for shipment and prepare for loading.
• Package products to prevent damage during transit.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with specs.
• Determine appropriate shipping method for each order.
• Affix shipping labels and add identifying information on cartons.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate forklift or pallet jack to move shipments within the facility.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Production Control, and Assembly to ensure timely deliveries.
• Assist with assembling products as needed.

Zero-Max is currently recruiting for a Shipping Coordinator responsible for verifying and keeping record on outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties, and other tasks appropriate to typical shipping department functions as directed by the production supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enter shipment data into freight carrier’s computer system for tracking and label purposes
• Pull required inventory and packages product in suitable container for shipment
• Package product to prevent damage in shipment
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Determine method of shipment.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons and/or add identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate power lift truck or uses pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Must work closely with Customer Service, Production Control and Assembly departments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Communicate with freight companies when loads are ready as well as pick up status.
• Assist with assembling products as needed.

Requirements

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Six months shipping experience in a manufacturing or similar environment preferred
• Experience operating a forklift
• Knowledgeable in MS Office, and experience with ERP systems – Epicor preferred
• Effective writing and communication skills
• Good mathematical skills
• Ability to use sound judgment and prioritize tasks
• Work closely with all levels of staff focusing on shipping and production duties
