River Point Farms is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join our onion processing plant team!

Summary

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods. This role coordinates product shipments, manages inventory data, and interacts with third‑party trucking partners to schedule pickups and deliveries.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate shipping activities and processes for finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate floor inventory records and communicate data to management for daily consumption planning.
  • Schedule appointments, driver pickups, and follow up on missed shipments.
  • Interact daily with third‑party trucking operations to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Utilize company software to manage shipping orders and post‑production updates.
  • Monitor packaging inventory weekly, perform counts, and process transfers as needed.
  • Verify pallet tags against shipping paperwork or system records (CHIPS).
  • Load products accurately onto trucks using shipping documentation.
  • Notify management of shortages impacting daily shipments.
  • Assist with WIP and finished goods counts and reconcile consumable goods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • One + years of related experience.
  • Forklift certified, or willing to gain forklift certification as required by location.
  • Knowledgeable on proper truck loading techniques.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Travel by vehicle may be required for other company facilities, suppliers, or operational sites.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hard hats, safety footwear, hearing protection, and protective clothing will be provided in accordance with applicable laws and company policy. Employees are required to wear designated PPE when tasks or work areas require it; compliance with PPE requirements is mandatory.
