Job description

Position Purpose

Responsible for accurately billing orders, checking in drivers with appropriate paperwork, and assisting in shipping products.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Verify load documentation and diagrams for billing accuracy.
2. Collaborate with supervisor and QA to release loads.
3. Generate bills of lading based on documentation and load diagrams.
4. Complete load information on forms and databases.
5. Print necessary shipping and receiving papers.
6. Collect data for reports and entry.
7. Ensure drivers have proper paperwork before load release.
8. Determine when pre-shipment is necessary.
9. Maintain communication regarding trailer issues and shortages.
10. Notify shuttle drivers about trailer movements.
11. Keep schedule and lot layout updated.
12. Schedule receiving and inbound appointments as needed.

Team Participation

Participate in team development, communication, and policy implementation. Attend meetings, foster cohesiveness, and support organizational synergy.

Operating System Principles

Familiarity with Simmons' operating systems and understanding of individual responsibilities in maintaining these systems.

Additional Duties

Perform other duties to support business objectives, demonstrating flexibility and proactive thinking.

Physical Activities

Stand for long periods, bend, squat, work in elevated areas, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/move 3-20 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment

Use PPE such as head coverings, ear plugs, steel toe shoes, and other required gear.
