Job summary

Peerless-AV is seeking a dependable Shipping Clerk to join our manufacturing team. You will prepare, package, and process outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery while coordinating with carriers.

The ideal candidate has experience with StarShip; forklift operation and order picker skills are a plus. This role works in a fast-paced environment and participates in maintaining shipping records and OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of shipping experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• Experience using StarShip shipping software required; UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager are a plus.
• Must operate a sit-down forklift.
• Experience with an order picker is a plus.
• Experience with LTL freight shipments and shipping documentation preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems preferred.
• Process daily domestic and international shipments using StarShip.
• Load/unload trucks safely with a sit-down forklift.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in the ERP system.
• Follow OSHA safety policies and maintain organized shipping area.

In this role, you will prepare, package, and process outbound shipments while ensuring products are shipped accurately and on time. The ideal candidate has experience using StarShip, but experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager is a plus. This candidate would be comfortable operating a sit-down forklift, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Retrieve and stage materials throughout the warehouse; operate an order picker when needed.
• Coordinate shipments with parcel carriers, LTL freight carriers, and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate shipment records within the company's ERP system.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Keep the shipping department organized, clean, and compliant with company safety standards.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends
• Must be physically capable of standing/bending /stooping/griping 8+ hour shift(s)
• Must be able to lift/carry/move up to 30 lbs. without assistance. Anything above than 30 lbs. require a team lift.
• Must be able to work in non-climate, non-dust-controlled areas
• Must be able to wear required safety equipment including shoes, glasses, harnesses, etc.
