Job summary

Advanced Assembly, Inc. in University Research Park, Madison, WI, is seeking a Shipping Clerk to assist with incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain inventory records, and ensure orders are filled accurately.

This full-time, first-shift position runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus after the 90-day probation and a competitive benefits package. Candidates should have a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and shipping software experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Clean and valid driver's license preferred with reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to read, speak and understand both verbal and written instructions in the English language.
• Shipping experience with UPS WorldShip and/or FedEx Manager is preferred.
• Preferred experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Is Required. Experience With ERP systems or the willingness to learn.
• Organized self-starter with the ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Ability to follow established product handling procedures while complying with safety and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) guidelines.
• Able to coordinate with the Sales team to maintain on-schedule daily shipments.
• Professional communication skills for phone and email interactions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Prepare items for shipment.
• Check and compare item details (counts, weights, measurements) for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Verify shipment information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records, and track date of delivery and all other pertinent information involved.
• Track delivery dates and related shipment details.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor.
