Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing, located in Walker, MI, is seeking a Shipping Clerk for 2nd shift (2PM-10PM, Mon-Fri) to join our plant in Walker. The role requires accuracy in shipping paperwork, inventory checks, and loading of trucks using a lift or hand truck.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years shipping or manufacturing experience, a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), and strong Excel skills with a typing speed of 70 words per minute.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 2–3 years shipping or manufacturing experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and typing 70 WPM.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders per order pick list and re-palletize as required.
• Label orders with destination labels and verify against pick list.
• Operate tier lift truck or hand truck to stage orders and load trucks.
• Verify trailers are docked and secured; ensure correct loading sequence.
• Perform other warehouse functions as requested.

Shipping clerk performs necessary quality checks, records information in PLEX (Enterprise Resource Planning system -ERP), and performs general utility work to meet work schedule.
