Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Shipping Clerk to verify, log, invoice, tag and load shipments in a fast, accurate manner. You will interact with account executives, traffic and drivers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.

You’ll operate an RF unit and the internal system, perform accurate shipping charges, and meet daily production standards while lifting up to 60 pounds and following safety rules. This role requires a HS Diploma, minimal warehouse experience, good math, strong customer service and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Ability to read, write and identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information.
• Basic math skills for counting and quantity.
• Ability to work with customers and coworkers with a positive attitude.
• May be required to complete SanMar Lift Operator Certification every three years.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to learn Internal Operating System(s) and operate RF unit.
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient typing and data entry.
• Able to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Able to work in high-demand, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Invoice, tag and load customer shipments accurately and timely.
• Verify orders and charges for invoicing, tagging and loading.
• Create parcel or freight invoices with accurate shipping charges.
• Respond to inquiries by phone or email.
• Manually load pallets on conveyor, lift and stack cases safely.
• Use RF unit and Internal Operating System to perform daily work and verify shipping details.
• Meet minimum production and accuracy standards and deadlines.
• Check out and return equipment in good condition.
• Possibly operate powered lift equipment with certification every three years.
• Maintain a safe, neat work area in compliance with safety regulations.
