Job summary

Reynolds American in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Shipping Clerk ASC to safely operate forklifts and maintain inventory and production records. Qualifications

  • Forklift certification preferred; scissor lift certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure correct supplies are used for orders.
  • Coordinate with carriers and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Verify, record, and maintain inventory, counts, tags, and production records.
  • Prepare materials for changeovers and line setups; follow work instructions.
  • Adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory policies and standards.
  • Identify safety and environmental risks and take corrective actions.

REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Clerk ASC in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Safely operate industrial forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material-handling equipment
  • Monitor production processes to ensure the correct supplies are utilized for assigned orders.
  • Coordination with dedicated carriers.
  • Accurately verify, record, and maintain inventory, material counts, tags, and production records.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for product changeovers, clean-ups, and production line setups.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and maintain accurate documentation to support operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Adhere to all company safety, environmental, and regulatory policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Identify workplace safety and environmental risks and take appropriate actions to help mitigate them.

What are we looking for?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operating environment preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic mathematical skills; ability to apply operational procedures
  • Forklift certification (considered a plus)
  • Beneficial: Scissor lift certification
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
  • Ability to meet WorkKeys requirements:

    • Workplace Documents (Lvl 3)
    • Graphic Literacy (Lvl 3)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties including walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working heights of up to 25 feet.
