REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Specialist ASC in Winston Salem, NC

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Performs planned maintenance, assists in planning and implementation of preventive maintenance activities, equipment deep cleans, sub-assemblies/backup group rebuilds, overhaul duties for emergency breakdowns on operations equipment across multiple manufacturing technologies.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments, and performs repairs to a high level of precision.
  • Assists with equipment installation, maintenance/engineering projects, and start up procedures to ensure project timelines are met and downtime is minimal.
  • Supports maintaining inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
  • Trains production workers and line mechanics on routine preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Aligns with operations on planning and timing on planned maintenance scheduled activities on equipment.
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Routinely communicates and aligns on all strategic maintenance plans with Maintenance Planner.
What are we looking for?
  • Three years’ maintenance technician experience with traditional or modern oral manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and/or exploded diagrams.
  • Basic mathematical skills with knowledge of metric and standard tools and conversions.
  • Use of calipers and other precision measuring devices
  • Ability to operate and diagnose Tobacco Packing Equipment
  • Work Keys Required
  • SAP CMMS application skills
  • Complete mechanical reasoning and aptitude testing in lieu of the educational/experience requirement.
