Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Summary:
This position supports manufacturing operations by coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are routed efficiently throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior shipping and receiving experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining accurate shipping documentation


• Prepare bills of lading and related shipping paperwork


• Verify incoming materials against packing slips, invoices, and shipping records


• Maintain records of received and shipped materials


• Report damaged goods, shortages, and shipping discrepancies


• Route materials and deliveries to the appropriate departments


• Utilize computers, barcode scanners, and other electronic systems to track inventory and shipments


• Support material handling activities within the warehouse and production areas


• Maintain organized shipping and receiving records


• Work closely with internal departments to ensure timely movement of materials


• Perform additional warehouse and logistics duties as needed

Job Requirements

• Ability to work a full-time schedule in a manufacturing environment


• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school training is a plus


• 2-3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience


• Manufacturing experience preferred


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


• Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities


• Basic computer proficiency and experience using electronic tracking systems


• Strong communication skills


• Ability to support material handling activities as required
