Job summary

UTEX Industries in Texas is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our manufacturing team. You will move materials, package products for shipment, and help manage incoming and outgoing shipments in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires a high school diploma, strong organization, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and basic computer skills; forklift experience is preferred. You’ll work on-site in a safe, collaborative setting with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and lift up to 50 lbs per shift.

Responsibilities

• Move materials using lift trucks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
• Package, wrap, and prepare products for shipment.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy or damage.
• Assist in shipping finished products and receiving materials for production.
• Schedule pickups with shipping carriers as instructed.
• Enter and track shipping/inventory data using computers.
• Keep shipping supplies stocked and organized.
• Report damaged materials or safety concerns to a supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Move materials using lift trucks, hand trucks, and other equipment
• Package, wrap, and prepare products for shipment
• Receive and check incoming shipments for accuracy or damage
• Help ship finished products and receive materials used in production
• Schedule pickups with shipping carriers as instructed
• Use computers to enter and track shipping and inventory information
• Keep shipping supplies stocked and organized
• Report damaged materials or safety concerns to a supervisor
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to use measuring tools and basic computer programs
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; and stoop
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety protocols
• Preferred: Forklift experience

Work Environment

You’ll work in both manufacturing and office environments, using tools and equipment daily. PPE and steel-toed footwear are required.

Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
