Shipping Clerk – Brief Description

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to contribute to a collaborative manufacturing environment? UTEX is looking for a reliable and motivated Shipping Clerk to join our team!

What You’ll Do

• Move materials using lift trucks, hand trucks, and other equipment
• Package, wrap, and prepare products for shipment
• Receive and check incoming shipments for accuracy or damage
• Help ship finished products and receive materials used in production
• Schedule pickups with shipping carriers as instructed
• Use computers to enter and track shipping and inventory information
• Keep shipping supplies stocked and organized
• Report damaged materials or safety concerns to a supervisor
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to use measuring tools and basic computer programs
• The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, and stoop
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety protocols
• Preferred: Forklift experience

Work Environment

You’ll work in both manufacturing and office environments, using tools and equipment daily. PPE and steel-toed footwear are required.

Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
