Job summary

Mucci PAC Ltd. in Romulus, MI is seeking a Shipping Clerk to support outbound logistics and documentation. You will verify P.O.s, prepare paperwork, and coordinate with carriers to ensure on-time delivery while maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of shipping clerk experience, familiarity with MS Office, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This full-time role may involve extended hours and occasional Sunday shifts.

• Verify outbound scans against P.O.s and prepare outbound paperwork.
• Inspect shipment documentation for quantities and descriptions.
• Conduct physical inventory and cycle counts of outbound materials.
• Data entry for shipping tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Investigate shipping related concerns and coordinate with carriers.
• Assign check-ins/outs within TMS and update portals.
• Data entry within temperature recording portals and customer platforms.
• Support other administrative duties as needed.
• Email carriers PODs and follow up on priority emails.

Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 5/6 days a week on (10:30am - 7:30pm) and potentially extended hours depending on workload and priorities; which could include possible Sunday shifts (unless stipulated otherwise in offer of employment).

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Must be willing and able to work a steady shift (10:30am - 7:30pm)
• Check all outbound scans and verify against P.O.’s
• Prepare outbound paperwork
• Inspect shipment documentation for quantities, descriptions, and proper goods
• Conduct physical inventory and cycle counts of outbound materials
• Data Entry as assigned by shipping supervisor or manager
• Investigate shipping related concerns/ Issues
• Assign check-ins and check-outs within TMS
• Data entry within temperature recording portals
• Data entry within customer platforms, (ASN, ITrade)
• Any other administrative duties assigned by management
• Emailing Carriers PODs and following up on priority emails

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Completion of High School, GED, or equivalent is required
• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a shipping clerk, customs, or similar role
• Strong organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of Famous is considered an asset
• Must be a team player, able to multi-task and learn quickly
• Must have strong sense of urgency
• Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner, (verbally and written) in English
• Must be able to function in a high capacity within a stressful work environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Abilities:

• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
• Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
• Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
• Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F
