Job summary

Benshaw in Pittsburgh is seeking a Shipping Clerk for LTL shipments to support daily domestic logistics operations. The role requires coordination with production, logistics, and customers to ensure timely delivery from the Pittsburgh facility.

The position is on-site in Pittsburgh, with standard weekday hours and overtime as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfortable working in a manufacturing setting with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Process domestic LTL shipments daily.
• Gather weights, dimensions, and product info for shipments.
• Utilize backlog and shipping tiles to identify available products.
• Monitor shipping tiles and review lanes.
• Communicate with production for shipment readiness.
• Take photos of shipped products and upload daily.
• Scan delivery slips and BOLs and file copies.
• Send daily delivery receipts to shipment tracker.
• Interact with customer logistics for routed shipments.
• Export shipments tile data and explain misses.
• Assist with other duties as needed.

Job description

Shipping Clerk: LTL (Less-Than-Truckload)

Location: 615 Alpha Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238

Hours: Monday- Friday 8am-5:30pm (weekend work and overtime as needed)

Responsibilities

• Process Domestic LTL Shipments daily
• Gather weights dimensions sales orders and any product information needed to complete LTL shipments for products wrapped and ready for shipment in shipping lanes.
• Utilise Benshaw Backlog to investigate and compile list of products available for shipment
• Monitor IFS Shipping Tile for daily shipments and add ons, as well as reviewing shipping lanes for potential shipments.
• Communicate with Production on any products that should be available for shipment according to Backlog and IFS Tile
• Take pictures of all product shipping LTL and upload into daily file
• Scan all Delivery slips and BOL(s) into system, and then file paper copies.
• Send Daily Delivery receipt to daily shipment tracker email list.
• Interact with Customer logistics for customer routed shipments.
• Export IFS Complete Shipments Available Tile at end of Day for open orders not shipped and supply reason for missed shipment(s)
• If all tasks are completed, or at the request of management, support it other areas.
• These responsibilities serve as a guideline of work to be completed, further activities may be assigned or requested at management discretion.

Physical Requirements

• This position requires the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, up to 8 or more hours per shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and repetitive use of the hands and arms to perform job duties.
• Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
• Requires sufficient visual acuity to inspect parts, read work instructions, and perform quality checks.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures, and other industrial conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
