Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Location: Georgetown, KY

Shift: 1st shift Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:45 pm

Payrate: $15.00 - 20.00 Based on experience

What you will be doing:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Examine incoming and outgoing shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Deliver or route materials to departments using hand-truck or sorting bins.
• Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
• Deburr and clean parts for Laser engraving.
• Laser etch part numbers and production dates on parts. (no experience necessary)

What we need from you:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or over
• Must comply with client’s substance abuse & background policy
• Must have High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have 3 years previous Shipping & Receiving experience
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
