Job description

POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Perform all essential functions required to support production operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Keep work orders up to date both on pick slip and computer.
2. Complete accurate cycle counts.
3. Use forklift to load and unload trucks.
4. Maintain fork/clamp trucks (e.g., changing/filling propane bottles, checking fluid levels, etc.).
5. Store raw materials in bins and correctly record transfers in the system.
6. Troubleshoot transfers.
7. Keep production machines stocked with material and prepare all materials for operators.
8. Maintain raw material areas.
9. Use clamp truck to stock presses when large rolls are required.
10. Fill out Material Rejection Forms and distribute to appropriate personnel.
11. Maintain inventory through cycle counts.
12. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the receiving area.
13. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and reporting protocols.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Contribute to team effort by proactively assisting colleagues.
• Attend training to develop relevant skills.
• Basic computer and math skills, including computing rate, ratio, percent, and bar graphs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Work extended hours as required.
• Handle multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Forklift experience/certification in a manufacturing environment.
