Powell is a manufacturer of switchgear and other electrical equipment. We are currently hiring a Shipping Clerk at our Southeast Houston manufacturing facility. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 11:00am-9:30pm
Position Summary
The clerk will carefully check the item against each customer’s order to see that it is filled correctly. The clerk will prepare and pack products for shipping as scheduled by the system Scheduled Ship Date or by the Shipping Supervisor. The clerk will be knowledgeable in all aspects of the documentation, customer instructions and requirements, and exchange program, (ie. Bill of Lading, Packing List, Packaging, Billing, UPS and FEDEX software); and records keeping of outgoing shipments. The clerk will monitor the supply of packaging materials and requisition additional supplies as required.
