Position Summary

The Shipping Clerk Lead ensures efficient shipping operations, mentors the team, and drives continuous improvement to support Empower’s mission of delivering affordable, innovative medications that improve lives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitors the shipping process to ensure compliance with standards and procedures, resolving issues and preventing recurrences.
  • Leads the shipping team through daily pick and pack operations, performs Shipping Clerk duties, and supports order submission and inventory control.
  • Provides training, mentorship, and feedback to employees, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates with pharmacy, data entry, and clinical support teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment while maintaining a clean, organized, and secure shipping area.
  • Assists the Shipping Supervisor in monitoring team performance using Life File reporting and adheres to company policies by addressing employee or process concerns.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), with basic math skills and knowledge of courier operation processes.
