Job summary

CCB Packaging is seeking a Shipping Clerk for the Distribution team on 2nd shift. You will verify shipments, prepare items for shipment, and manage records. Strong attention to detail and good communication are essential.

Responsibilities include processing UPS/FedEx, entering loads in ASC, confirming BOLs, and coordinating with carriers. Prior SAP experience is preferred; a GED or high school diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against records.
• Process UPS/FedEx shipments.
• Enter inbound and outbound loads in ASC.
• Print and verify receivers along with BOLs.
• Process receivers and BOLs and route to internal/external customers.
• Verify counts of materials delivered and license materials from each load.
• Enter information into SAP for customers.
• Greet carrier drivers upon arrival and alert supervisors when a driver arrives.
• Unpack and examine shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and coordinate with shipper.
• Track trailers, trailer numbers and available dock space.
• Verify all seals and trailer numbers for freight.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.

CCB Packaging, a locally owned leader in the packaging industry, is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our Distribution team on 2nd shift! This position will verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.

Specific responsibilities of this position include:

• Count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against Bill of Ladings (BOLs), invoices, orders or other records
• Process UPS/FedEx shipments
• Enter inbound and outbound loads in ASC
• Print and verify all receivers along with BOLs
• Process receivers and BOLs and route to appropriate internal and external customers
• Verify counts of materials delivered to CCB and license materials from each load
• Enter information into SAP for customers
• Greet carrier drivers upon arrival and alert supervisors when a driver arrives at the facility
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Responsible for tracking trailers, trailer numbers and available dock space
• Verify all seals and trailer numbers for incoming and outgoing freight
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Identify and report unsafe conditions
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude

Education and Skills

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required; 1 year related experience and/or training preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with a diverse range of personalities
• Must be detail-oriented, organized and efficient with the ability to complete assigned tasks within a specified period of time
• Working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Word and Outlook
