Job summary

Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation is hiring a Shipping Clerk in Fort Worth, TX. The role supports order filling, packing, shipping, and receiving for domestic and international orders, using automated packaging equipment and several systems. You will help ensure accurate records and timely shipments.

Expect a 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM schedule with pay starting at $19.85/hour plus a shift premium. Benefits and growth opportunities are offered; relocation and sponsorship are not provided.

Qualifications

• Prior distribution center, warehouse and/or order filling experience.
• Knowledge of parts systems, procedures, and operations.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Computer literate and good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Fill, process, store and pick parts for domestic and international orders.
• Operate packaging equipment and shipping/receiving lines.
• Validate receipts against supplier packing lists and schedules.
• Coordinate with carriers and external logistics partners for shipments.

The Shipping Clerk verifies quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of products and items of merchandise ready for shipment.

What you will do

• Order filling, processing, storing/picking of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies for both domestic and international orders
• Operating automated packaging equipment, paint line operation, shipping and receiving
• Multiple systems interaction
• Validate accuracy of receipts to supplier packing lists
• Identify expedited parts
• Prioritize receipts based on receiving schedules
• Resolve grief by working with accounts payable and material coordinators in supply chain on receiving discrepancies
• Interact with carriers
• Schedule outbound loads
• Coordinate with logistics and external carriers to set up expedited shipments
• Ensure accurate counts are recorded prior to any movements into or out of the finished goods inventory
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
• Operates electric hoist, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes to assist in loading or moving materials and products
• Develops a culture that works to achieve and maintain an accident-free workplace
• Develops a culture that works to achieve and maintain ongoing housekeeping excellence

What you will have

• Previous distribution center, warehouse and/or order filling experience
• Knowledge of parts systems, procedures, and operation
• Ability to work with minimal supervisor
• Computer literate
• Good attendance record
• Ability to maintain complete and accurate records
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of educations and experience.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally lift parts up to 35 pounds individually or 50 pound as team lift
• Occasional bending, reaching and squatting while performing tasks
• Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed
• Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
• Standing and/or sitting at a desk while performing tasks

Summary Pay Range

$19.85 - $26.55
