Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Associate at our Waco Work Tools Facility in Waco, TX. 1st shift runs Monday–Friday from 6am to 2pm with overtime possible. Starting wage is $19.05 per hour, paid weekly, with overtime opportunities at 1.5x.

You will inspect heavy equipment, perform material handling, and use scanners to manage inventory. Training will cover order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and hoists.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused, uses PPE and follows safety procedures.

• Attention to detail for quality checks and accurate work.
• Minimum 12 months prior employment/volunteer experience.
• Equipment experience required: order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, overhead hoists.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect heavy equipment including fork trucks, pallet jacks, and hoists.
• Handle receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing and shipping of parts and materials.
• Use handheld scanner to access and update receiving, counting, and order data.
• Be trained to operate various equipment; all positions involve equipment operation.
• Report defects and perform routine maintenance checks.

Caterpillar’s Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking talented Warehouse Associates at our Waco Work Tools Facility located at 2100 Orchard Lane Waco, TX 76705.

Shifts:

• Shift/hours: 1st Shift- Monday-Friday 6am - 2pm (overtime may be required depending on business need) Starting Wage: $19.05/ HR

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Utilizing and inspecting heavy equipment including sit down fork truck, pallet jack and overhead hoists.
• Safely perform the material handling and warehousing processes required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.
• Willingness to be trained on and operate order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead hoists. Keep in mind, all available positions will operate equipment.
• Report defects and need for repairs.
• Utilize pneumatic tools and/or power tools to build and construct wooden shipping containers.
• Utilize tools for the application of paint and rust preventative.
• Perform housekeeping functions as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

• Agility: Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds individually, walk approximately 10 to 12 miles per day, sit, stand, squat, and bend over repetitively and consistently, throughout your shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
