Base pay range

$23.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Description

The Shipping Clerk position is vital to the success of Catalyst Acoustics Group. They are responsible for ensuring every shipment leaving is on time and in perfect condition. The Shipping Clerk will obtain, package, and prepare orders for shipment. The shipping department is responsible for timely pickup and using packaging materials that survive both TL and LTL shipping.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and other machinery, including robot stretch wrappers and cranes
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Prepare and ship UPS shipments
• Obtain and package orders for domestic and export
• Fill out packing lists and BOLs accurately
• Package fragile materials adequately for delivery
• Safely load LTL, Dry Vans, Flatbeds, Sprinter Vans, etc.
• Act as backup lead when out of office
• Manage emails related to ship date changes, order holds, and accounting
• Unload fiberglass
• Perform other duties as assigned

Competencies

• Ability to follow instructions requiring concentration, organize work, and ensure attention to detail
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and interpret technical instructions
• Knowledge of warehousing, logistics, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP/TMS systems

Physical Demands

Requires sitting, talking, hearing, standing, walking, lifting up to 51 pounds, and other physical activities. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Primarily in a manufacturing setting, with potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.

Additional Information
