Job summary

Remedy Staffing is assisting a national company in Des Moines, IA for a Shipping Clerk position. The role involves processing customer orders, coordinating with warehouse staff, and ensuring on-time deliveries.

The shift is 10:30 AM–7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with alternating Saturdays during Nov/Dec and March/April. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of warehouse experience, familiarity with BOLs and shipping documents, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of warehouse experience; 2-3 years preferred.
• Experience with BOLs and shipping documents.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Willing to cross-train in warehouse/inventory.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Process and troubleshoot customer orders; resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate and update warehouse staff on orders.
• Review shipping/receiving reports for on-time deliveries.
• Provide customer service to callers, customers, and carriers.
• Proactively communicate with customers and management to meet requirements.
• Assist with documentation and audits; support other warehouse staff.

Shipping Clerk

Our client is a national known company. Lots of opportunity for advancement. Located on the north east side of Des Moines.

Starting Pay: $18.75 / Hour

Hours:10:30AM-7PM Monday-Friday (Alternating Saturdays Nov/Dec-March/April).

Duties:

• Processes customers’ orders; troubleshoots orders and resolves discrepancies as needed.


• Coordinate and update warehouse employees regarding new and modified customer orders.


• Review shipping and receiving reports to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.


• Provides exceptional customer service to incoming callers, customers and carriers.


• Proactively communicates with customers, employees and the management team to ensure necessary requirements are met.


• Processes, audits and files various documentation.


• Assist other employees in the performance of their assigned duties when necessary.

Requirements:

• Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, strong tenure required


• Must possess at least 1 year of warehouse experience, candidates with 2-3 years will be prioritized


• Candidates must have hands on experience working with BOLs and other shipping documents


• Ability to lift 50lbs.


• Must be willing to cross train in warehouse with inventory department.
