OVERVIEW

The Shipping Clerk performs tasks involved in processing and shipping Case Farms products. The position requires clerical and manual labor skills.

Shift

• Available on 3rd shift, from 8pm to 4am

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Reports directly to Shipping Supervisor.
• Maintains Manifest logs and trailer information.
• Completes paperwork for USDA-certified loads (Kill Certificates).
• Prepares bills of lading for outgoing trucks.
• Handles phone calls in the Shipping office from drivers, sales, customers, and operations.
• Performs data entry of shipping information.
• Handles office and administrative duties.
• Performs other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Office experience preferred.
• Ability to work sitting, standing, or alternating positions.
• Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train others.
• Basic understanding of the shipping process.
• Maintain inventory controls for proper product rotation.
• Above-average computer literacy.
• Communicate with CFS regarding system or inventory issues.
• Assist in training shipping employees.
• Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
